How To Add a Cool Twitter Follow Me Button To Your Blog or Site
Looking for a cool or colorful or just different “follow me” Twitter button for your blog or site, well look no more. I searched out some good ones for you. I have found all kinds, ones that are animated, ones that are vertical- you’ll see, and I bet I have one to match any blog. I have them on my blogs, different ones on each, in fact if was so hard for me to choose when I just had one blog, I had two of them on there, one at the top and one at the bottom. Now I have enough blogs to get a few choices and I evern switch up sometimes.
I did a post a long time ag on this and had some links bookmarked and found a few new ones as well. I also have done a lens on Squidoo called Twitter Buttons , if you want to check it out.

The Absolute Easiest Way to Add and Pick a Twitter “Follow Me” Badge/Button for Your Blog or Website (no coding!)
- Does coding make you sweat. Would you rather just enter your Twitter ID and copy paste it, is that the extent of your coding knowledge~ Twitter Buttons This takes all the confusion away. You simply enter you twitter ID and it updates the code as you go…that simple. Then you copy and paste it into a widget or gadget depending on that blog/site you are using. They have a Variety of choices and Colors- this is the easiest way I know.
Colorful Twitter “Follow Me” buttons ~
- You are sure to find any color button/ badge you are looking for at Limeshot Design, which is an awesome site I just discover and will be using in the future ,
this is the “Follow Me on Twitter badges/logo/buttons” page Here
They have a lot of different colored ones and even patterns , pattern, paisley- no joke, take a peek.
More Traditional Twitter Buttons~
- Is traditional more your style, are you just not sure about a walking bird on your page, then check out Randa Clay. They start out fairly traditional then move to some Really Cute one!
One Huge Twitter Button/Badge Collection, Animated, Vertical and MORE~ Need to fit a Narrow Space? Go Vertical!
- This is the place that has everything all the way to the Vertical Buttons, they are super cute and the GIF’s, animated ones that move! Siah Designs has a huge selection of super cute (and different). Actually this selection is so good this is a site to bookmark and change out if you are the type that likes to redesign or has multiple sites. This site also has vertical ones as well. A good option if the space you are putting it in is oddly shaped. It has a few different colored ones too.
Follow My Footsteps ~ Foreign Language Site- Twitter Buttons in English- Good Deal!
- So I may not be able to read the text on this site but I can read the Twitter Buttons/Badges, I especially like the footsteps ones… too cute for Summer maybe! Check out This Site Here!
Now The Coding~
- Save the badge/button you want with right click, “save image as”, name it save it to you pictures- I made a twitter folder.
- Host the picture somewhere such as Photobucket
- make the picture into a click-able link with the code hosted at photobucket? It will look like this
- <a href=”http://twitter.com/YOUR TWITTER USER NAME” target=”_blank_”><img border=”0″ src=”WHERE THE PHOTO IS HOSTED”/></a>
- YOUR TWITTER USER NAME= your twitter id, like mine is @craftyGAgal- so there I would add “craftyGAgal” no spaces
- WHERE THE PHOTO IS HOSTED=after you upload picture to photobucket it will have “Direct Link” copy that into this spot, it will be a .jep if it is regular photo and .gif if it is an animated (moving) photo.

It’s really easy to do this and adds another personal touch to your webpages, blogs, etc. I uploaded some new icons to my blog earlier this week and found a great source for facebook, rss, twitter, and a million other icons.

I think my favorite is the coffee cup RSS icon but the soda pop cans are a close second! By the way, they are all free as long as you use them for personal use.
